Movie review time

Jason and I went to see The Curious Case of Benjamin Button yesterday afternoon. I have to give it 5 out of 5 stars!! It is by far one of the best movies I have ever seen. It flows so smoothly that you don't even notice you have been sitting in the theater for almost 3 hours. The acting is incredible and the scenery is gorgeous. I enjoyed trying to figure out where they were in New Orleans, too. I know I am very biased when it comes to Brad Pitt (God bless my husband for putting up with me when it comes to Brad Pitt), but this movie truly deserves every award nomination it gets. I just hope it wins some of them. Warning: It is a tearjerker...I cried twice.

We watched The Mist this past weekend. Pretty good considering it's a Stephen King novella made into a movie. Very few stories by Stephen King turn out good on the big screen. I thought it was going to be like The Fog, but I was way off. I won't ruin it by saying too much about it. The ending is shocking. I am not sure if I liked it or not. As a parent, it made me angry and extremely sad. I bawled! As a Stephen King fan, it didn't surprise me once the initial shock wore off. I have not read the story yet, so I don't know what is different from the book. I give it 3.5 out of 5 stars.

We also watched Tropic Thunder this past weekend. This is one of the worst movies I have ever seen. The language was foul, and it was just plain stupid. The stellar cast fools you into thinking it will be good. Such a waste of good actors. There were a few funny parts, and Tom Cruise did a good job. I am not a Tom Cruise fan. I give it 1 out of 5 stars.
