As I previously mentioned, Jacob had to get his first set of vaccinations on Wednesday. It went so much better than I thought it would! I have my sister-in-law to thank for that. She suggested giving him infant tylenol 15 minutes before he got the shots, sugar water on my finger while getting the shots, and feeding him afterwards. The doctor said it was okay to give him the tylenol and sugar water, so I did it. He hardly cried at all! I was even more surprised that I didn't cry! Not one tear! I guess focusing on comforting him kept me from thinking about it too much. I sure am glad that is over.
He weighed 11 lbs. and 12 oz. and was 23 inches long. He is in the 50th percentile, according to the doctor.
