I just got this picture from my mother, so that is why it is being posted so late. It was taken the night Jacob was born. This is the only picture of the three of us so far. This is also one of the few pictures of Jason smiling because he wants to instead of because I told him to! He told me nothing could wipe that smile off of his face! I am hoping to get some more of us this weekend to post. We are taking Jacob and his big brother and sister to his first crawfish boil at False River. It ought to be interesting.We go to the doctor tomorrow for Jacob's first shots. I am not looking forward to it at all. I have only heard his pain cry a couple times, and I do not want to hear it again. Hopefully, it will be quick. It will probably hurt me more than him. Needless to say, I am dragging my mother with me. Jason said he didn't want to go b/c he didn't think he could tolerate my crying. I think he doesn't want to see Jacob cry!

Shots are ok. If you have not heard the little "trick," then here it is- about 30 minutes before his appointment, give him a dose of infant Motrin or Tylenol. Sometimes babies will get a small fever, this helps with that and the local pain if there is any. Chris always goes with me to her appointments, it is hard. Be prepared to cry, but it is short lived I promise. Lots of love afterwards, keep him close and hold him a lot today!
Some babies don't even cry for their shots - maybe you'll get lucky. Great pic.
