Jacob and I went to see his doctor last week for his 6 month check-up. I can't believe he is already 6 months old! Time goes by so fast when you are having fun! He weighs 17 lbs. 13 oz. and is 26 1/4 inches long. He is becoming such a chunk that it is hard to hold him for extended periods of time. I took him to Macy's after his appt. so I could get mascara and check out clothes for him. I didn't have the stroller, so I just carried him. I figured we wouldn't be there that long, it wouldn't be a big deal to just hold him. Besides the fact that anything and everything that comes within his reach he tries to grab and put in his mouth, he got heavy real quick! My back was hurting when we left 45 minutes later!
We started him on rice cereal last Friday and oatmeal on Monday. He doesn't appear to like either one right now. Poor thing! He had the most horrible look on his face. Hopefully, he will get the hang of eating with a spoon soon. He just prefers me over the cereal. We didn't take pictures of him eating, but we did videotape it.
I will post his 6 month portraits soon--hopefully by the weekend. He is also getting ready to cut his first teeth. I can see them coming in. He has been quite cranky as a result. The last 2 nights have been rough for both of us. Of course, Jason sleeps through it all. Men!!
