I am still alive!

I know it has been forever and a day since I posted anything on my blog. I have a good excuse. Well, in a nutshell, Jacob gave all of us a stomach bug which took about a week to fully recover from, and I lost my job in September. I wasn't laid off from the hospital, which was good. Due to budget reasons, the department I worked in was eliminated. They offered me another position, which I didn't want, but figured it was easier to find a job while I had one. I had no time to check email much less blog. I even had to work 1 weekend a month, so my weekend time on the computer was virtually nil. I have found a new job within the hospital and I started last week. I will actually be able to use some of my skills I acquired from all that education I have! I am now an Abstractor for the hospital's Cancer Registry program. I think I will be happy being an abstractor. I will keep you posted! We are all healthy for the moment, too.
Yes, I know Halloween was over a month ago now, but I never got to post pics of Jacob in his Halloween costume. So I am going to post them now. Doesn't he make the cutest giraffe?!
