Jacob's 18 month checkup

Jacob had his 18 month checkup last Friday. He weighs almost 26 pounds and is 32.5 inches tall. According to Dr. Stephanie, he is doing great. He also got his last set of shots...yeah!!! He is growing like a weed! He is so much fun, and he is very smart. He can say more than 50 words. I was writing all of them down, but I quit around 40! He has 8 teeth now, and is cutting 2 more. He still teeths very slowly and painfully. He has transitioned to toddler class and a new teacher much, much better than we all thought he would. His new teachers actually tell me he cries less than his other classmates who moved up with him.
On a more serious note...Gustav is heading straight for us. If ya'll could keep us in your prayers, it would be greatly appreciated. As of right now, he is supposed to hit Tuesday morning. We think we have everything we need. My poor husband has been to Wal-Mart twice in the last 24 hours and went all over town trying to find a second window unit in case we lose power again. We didn't have electricity for 5 days with Katrina. Now TPTB say Tropical Storm Hanna will come our way, too. It looks like she will hit Florida first. They don't need any more bad weather, and I know we won't after Gustav is through with us. Since I work at a hospital, I will have to work after the storm. It will be a madhouse around here!!
