Beach trip 2009

I know what you are going to say, and the answer is yes, I did go to the beach 3 months ago. And yes, I am just now getting around to posting some pictures from the trip. It is sad, I know, but c'est la vie! Our trip to Perdido Key was pretty good despite having to contend with a tropical storm the whole time. We got to spend some time on the beach everyday. Not as much as we would have liked, but it worked out okay. We even went out in the rain a couple times. Jacob didn't mind it at all. He loves the sand. He wasn't too crazy about the water, though. I think his favorite thing about the trip was finding sand crabs. Every time we came across a hole in the sand, he would stoop down to look in it and tell us it was a crab hole.
Our original condo we booked was pretty bad. It was small and dirty. I can handle small, but not dirty. I don't think housekeeping had cleaned under the furniture in 6 months. I put a sheet down on the couch before I would sit on it or let Jacob sit on it. Luckily, when we went to finish checking in the next morning and complained, the manager gladly moved us. We ended up in a big 2 bedroom condo that was very clean! Having a bigger condo turned out to be great since it rained most of the time we were there. I don't know if we would have survived 4 days in the small, dirty condo. Here are some pictures of the trip. Enjoy! I would say it won't be this long before I post again, but I could be lying!
