My baby is 3!

Yesterday was Jacob's 3rd birthday. I can't believe how much he has grown and changed in the last year. He is not a baby anymore. When I became pregnant, I never dreamed having a baby could bring me so much joy and laughter. 3 years ago yesterday at 2:35 pm, my life changed forever. He is truly the most wonderful thing that has ever happened to me, and I can't imagine my life without him.
I have been trying to look at life and the world we live in through his eyes. It is amazing how much more appreciative I am when I am able to do that. He is so inquisitive and smart. I love to watch him try to figure out how something works as he says, "Hmmm...there's something strange about this. I need to fix it."
He recently started the phase of having favorite things. Most of the time, it brings a smile to my face. However, there are days when I wish he wasn't so adamant about his favorite things. I am sure every mother out there will agree with me on that! His favorite color is green, and he will tell anyone and everyone. He insists on wearing a green shirt every day now. If he could, he would wear his favorite green race car shirt every day. I have been scouring our usual kids' clothing websites for green spring/summer clothes for him. He loves race cars (especially green ones), his Thomas the train set, legos, and dinosaurs. He watches either The Land Before Time or Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs everyday. He can recite lines from both movies, too. I can't remember the last time we turned on Noggin! My favorite of his favorites is snuggling...he still loves to snuggle and tell me that he loves me.
We had 2 birthday parties for him. The first one was just for family at our house, the second one was at school with his friends. He had a great time at both parties! Hopefully I can upload pictures from my new camera this weekend and post some of them (I got the camera in November, and I still haven't uploaded any pictures to my computer). Blog posts are so much more fun with pics!
