My normal 15-20 minute commute home from work was almost an hour yesterday. One of the entrances to my subdivision (which I use to get home everyday) was blocked along with part of Jefferson Highway by about 20 police vehicles and every news station in town. I decided to call the sheriff when I got home to see what was going on and make sure I didn't need to take any unusual precautions to protect my family. The officer said someone was barricaded in a house and just to stay away from the area. The link below explains what was going on. It was a little freaky to see all those cops near my home, but at least they got the guy. And thankfully he wasn't engaging in sex trafficking of minors down the street from me...just in Minnesota.
