Once a week, usually on Tuesday evenings, Jacob has soccer practice at the Burbank Soccer Complex. For those of you who aren't familiar with it, the complex is a massive park almost exclusively for soccer. I believe there are 25 soccer fields! Not to mention 3 baseball fields, 4 ponds, and a dog park. It is virtually treeless, so I have prime sunset viewing while watching Jacob practice. I love to watch the sun rise and set. I very rarely get to see sunrises, so I take advantage of every opportunity to watch the sun set. My mother used to tell me when I was a little girl, that the beautiful colors in sunsets was God painting the sky. Ever since then, I associate sunsets with God. Kind of like water, sunsets make me feel calm and close to God. Sunsets also remind me that no matter what is going on in my life, there is the simple beauty in nature to be thankful for. The sunset was so breathtaking last night, that I decided to take a picture of it. My smartphone has an awesome camera and I have a couple great photo apps, but the sunset's beauty probably would have been captured better if I had had my camera. However, I do not normally bring my camera to soccer practice, so my phone had to suffice. I used HDR Landscape on Photogram to brighten it up since it was getting dark outside.
Anyway, enjoy...
