My Big Kindergartner

Jacob started kindergarten this August at St. George Catholic School. It's hard to believe my baby is old enough for "big boy school", but he is. It is bittersweet for me as his mother...excited for him starting this next phase in his young life, and sad that he is growing farther and farther away from being my baby boy. The transition to kindergarten was a little rough for him as it can be for most 5-year-olds. However, as most of you know there were extenuating, stressful circumstances (ones that I am not quite ready to discuss in this format yet) that made it even rougher for Jacob. My sweet boy transitioned remarkably well, in my opinion. He is a smart, sensitive, loving boy who is very inquisitive and loves to learn (he gets it honestly). I am so proud of my baby boy! Here are some pics of his first day of "big boy school". As you can see, we had to get the goofy pics out of the way before he would let me capture his beautiful smile.
