I broke down and decided to get the Elf on the Shelf this year for the boys. I thought this Christmas was a great year to start a new tradition. The boys were very excited when I showed them our new elf. When I asked them what we should name him, they didn't know at first. Then Jacob said, "Oooh, I have a name for him! Let's name him Sammy!" So, that is what we named him.
Sammy just kind of hung around the first few days. He didn't really do much. But the boys had fun trying to find him every morning. However, Sammy's mischievous side started to show several days ago. He is becoming quite the wild elf. Jacob even commented after the mirror incident that Sammy was now on the naughty list. Here are some pics of his more memorable moments so far.
Sammy decided he was hungry, and he must have been out partying late because he had coffee with his toast.
I guess Sammy thought he could tame Spike the Apatosaurus.
Saturday night I caught Sammy toilet-papering Nana's Christmas tree. I know I should have take the toilet paper away from him and scolded him, but all I could do was laugh. We both knew Nana wouldn't be happy, but...
Monday night Sammy decided he wanted to let the boys know how much he likes them. Unfortunately, he used Nana's favorite lipstick to show his love. That silly elf!!
