Jason's cousin Jaime had a New Year's Eve party at her house this year. This is the most recent pic of us and you can definitely see Jacob! I was a couple days shy of 32 weeks. If you are wondering why the picture looks a little hazy, we were watching some of the younger family members set off a hideous amount of fireworks. Needless to say, it was quite smoky! That's Jason's mom standing near us.
I was so amazed that I was able to stay awake that long! The kids insisted we stay until midnight. Jason agreed as long as they stayed up and played with Max when we got home so us old folks could go to sleep. Well, guess who ended up staying up with Max? ME!! The kids fell asleep on the way home and went to bed without brushing their teeth. Jason fell asleep in his recliner shortly after he sat down. I stayed up until 1:30 with the dog and got up to go to work for 8:30 the next morning. They slept until almost 11:00!!! I took that as foreshadowing of things to come when Jacob arrives.
Pretty fireworks!! I kept waiting for one of the trees to catch fire. Miraculously no one was hurt and nothing caught on fire.
