34 week check-up

I went to the doctor yesterday for my check-up. Jacob is fine. She thinks he is head down and his behind is in my ribs causing me to be sore. There is a good-sized lump on my right side almost all the time. He apparently likes it there because I cannot get him to move. I had about a 12 hour reprieve the night before last, but he moved right back into that spot. I am measuring 35 cm; I am a week ahead again. The doc doesn't appear to be concerned by it, so I am not either. The bigger he gets, the harder it is to breathe. It's even getting hard to take a deep breath. Needless to say, I get out of breath quite quickly and I have hardly any energy by the time I get home from work. Cooking dinner wears me out! So, I have to choose between cooking dinner or straightening up around the house. I am definitely ready to have my body back!
I go back to the doctor in 2 weeks, then every week. At 37 weeks, we will have our 3rd ultrasound to see where he is and how big he is. I am looking forward to that!

Try an ice pack on the spot he is hanging out in, this works for back labor sometimes and the cold will often make the baby move. Of course he may move right back as soon as you take the ice pack off.

Thanks. I will try that tonight. I am willing to try anything! I couldn't sleep on that side last night because it hurt too much.

Hang in there girl.... I see the light at the end of the tunnel! I can't help you much with the rib pain. I think Mackenzie stayed curled up in a ball (I never felt her kick my ribs). But I can only imagine- I had a friend that went to the ER because she thought her baby kicked and broke a rib it was so sore. Turns out, it takes something like 10 pounds of direct force pressure to break a rib, so no worries there.

The breathing.... oh I sympathize. I remember very well. It seems like all I did in the end was pant like a dog. Everywhere I went. This all just means you are winding down. So excited for you!

Are we due for an update? Weekly Dr. visits yet? I think you are getting close. Once you tell us what Jacob looked like in your last sonogram, I will make my "prediction" on DOB, weight, length, etc. Can't wait-the happiest moments of your life are right around the corner!
