Jacob finally took his first steps!!!! He has been walking for a couple months holding on to my hand, a table, and even down the hall with his hands on the wall. We have been trying to let go of his hand when we walked with him, but he would always freeze and just stand there and start to whine. He has been scared to leave his comfort zone. Well, he decided he was ready to leave that comfort zone last night. I let go of his hand, squatted down in front of him and coaxed him to walk to me, and he took five steps. Just to make sure I wasn't dreaming, I had him do it again. I am in for it now. He is already very mobile. If he isn't walking holding on to things or the wall, he scoots on his butt extremely fast (even with a toy in one hand). He is downright dangerous when he rides his Tonka truck!
His vocabulary is expanding very rapidly, too. He now says outside, fish, bird, baby, ball, and book! He loves "b" words. My baby is growing up...way too fast. I will post some pics soon (hopefully this weekend).
